A day in my life...

By reading the title you might have felt what's special in it... But I must say I will not forget it till eternity(just flauntingπŸ‘Έ)

Never thought one day I would write this. But suddenly my mind flew to this thrilling experience(atleast for me) and made me do this....

Rewind to 2016.....(oh yes...its way long back)πŸ‘ˆ

There was a fest named PULSE in our college GRIET. I, along with my mates enjoyed the event to the fullest in my college. After the event got over, we were not ready to go back to our PGs in Nizampet. We wanted to carry the fun through out the night with us not wanting to leave to hostels. The time was already around 11 in the night. One of my friends casually said how would it be to have a night out and explore the night life? We got excited by the plan and carried away. We, a group of 5 members decided to do a night out and roam around the city.πŸ‘½

Here comes the real twist. None of us was having a bike to roam around. We started our journey of exploring the night life by walking from our college ground to Nizampet.

You must have started feeling what's great about it?

The thing is none of us had even enough money to book a cab or a rental bike. We started searching for an ATM centre and failed to find one. Those were the days digital transactions like GPay, PhonePe were almost nill.

By clicking pics and pondering jokes on one another, we reached Nizampet. Time was around 12:30 in the night. One of my friends food cravings landed us to Pragathi Nagar near JNTU. We hade a tummy full there with exploring different varieties of dosas. Here, we video called our best buddy Kat, whom we missed a lot and started exaggerating about our fun tonight. She, who was already disappointed for not accompanying us, went into anger by our call ;) Might have felt jealous !!(πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡)

It was around late 2 in the night. With not knowing what to do the whole night, we started our marathon walk again towards JNTU signal. While were walking effortlessly, with a joy filled in our heart "yes , we are making it happen", at a random shop we came across two persons who were commenting on us. Suddenly, our nerves got chilled. Not knowing what to do, without having a bike in hand, almost helpless with no money, we were just wandering in the empty and dark streets. Our laughters, silly bullyings suddenly went into utter silence once we heard the guys commenting and following us. We just ran from there and went into an unending long street. One of my friends saw a policeman crossing the street. Our heart beat began to rise. We imagined of getting caught by police uncle and he calling our parents and complaining against us for roaming around. Thank god, it did not happen. Obviously, any parent would get anger and worried about their child, whom they thought sleeping safely in hostel. No parent of our generation are that easy going.

You might wonder by these guys were numb(πŸ™†). See, the day I am talking about was way back in 2016, that too none of us have crossed our 20s. In the conservative  South Indian society like us, where girls are not allowed to roam alone in the bright daylight, we almost went alone and wandered around the roads at midnight.

Suddenly, like a saviour a bus went by. We chased the bus and got into it, without even knowing where does it go to. The bus was boarding towards Uppal. We enjoyed the bus journey. There was none in the bus except us. We were just breathing and relaxing our nerves, then suddenly comes the bus conductor to enquire about us what we were doing late in the night. Literally he asked us our biodata. Somehow we managed by cooking up a story, of which my friend Sravanthi was expert at ;)

We reached Uppal and time was around 4AM. Hyderabad city would wake up only after 5AM. One of our friends who was accompying us house was in Uppal. We were joking on him to take us to his house which was nereby and give his fam a surprise. But the obvious answer was NO from him(πŸ˜†). He was worried about the never ending questions and discussions that would ponder on him if we go to his house at odd hours.

Suddenly, we saw a bus starting towards Koti. We went into it the bus and our never ending chit catting started again. This time with a bit excitement, because we knew that we almost landed out safely from a big mislanding. Initially, we thought of going to Ramkibandi, but our pockets were already hallow. We took a bus from Koti to Lingampally. We were just passing our time in the various busses and hiding our faces from the stereotyped pointing hands. We returned back to Nizampet in the same bus and ended landing up in our PGs at 7o'clock in the morning.  We took a deep breathe and thanked God for not making our plan a nightmare(😊).

When I look back to that day, I can still feel the nostalgia and butterflies in my tummy !(πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ˜‰)

It was nothing but sheer innocence and an excitement of experiencing different ways of life !

If atleast one of us had a handy bike or a handful of money, for sure I would not have looked back to day with this nostalgic feeling. We would have roamed across streets with full speed on bikes, clicked pictures , have fun at every random cafe. It is still possible today aswell for us to catch up with buddies and have a good night ride.But....But.... But the experience of us with no money in hands, bullying, getting commented, getting sterotyped would not have been possible.

This is one of the good profound memories in my life that I would always wish to relive.

I would like to end by asking a question here....(don't know it a good way of ending a life time experience by asking this way or not...but the inner me felt like asking)

Why were we stereotyped my dominating male on the streets?

Is it because of some of us were girls in the group?

Is it because girls should not roam in the night?

Is it because the already existing behaviour in all us that girls are to be kept at home and worshipped?

Does the same thing would happen if a group of boys went on to have a good night out?

Lesson I learnt was never in life feel guilty unless you feel it as a wrong. It was absolute pleasure for us that day to have a day out

I would not like to disclose the names of my friends who were accompanying that day. If you wish, comment and let the world know your names and the experience(πŸ˜›πŸ˜›).

Did you like the experience of ours? Is it thrilling? silly? annoying?

Waiting for your replies....

  4. The only thing in life for me is never ending stories. When we look into past, so many memories pop up, but only when we think of future //how will I make my next memory!// changes everything.
I have a lot of female frnds who travel around the world then what I plan. It all depend "do we care" about the people around us. 0
